See, i’m taking three classes this summer for college. Music appreciation, Comp II, and Mythology. I’ve been having no problems with Music, and Mythology, but something happened with Comp II last week. Being extremely busy with work and my other two classes, I had to type an essay at work, and doing that, I accidentally copied and pasted the wrong material into the essay. I meant to quote the story, but I pasted part of this analysis quote I was reading for help. Keep in mind it was still put in quotation marks, and acted as if it was the story itself.

So after grading our assignments a week late, she writes a little message on the grading stating that I plagiarized part of my essay I wrote, and that I will now fail this course. I completely freaked out, and sent her a message the very minute I saw it (which was the same day) telling her of the mistake. She ignored it, and continued to hand out 0’s on my papers. In desperation, I sent one to her other email account as well, and I did last weeks work, hoping she’ll read the message and not give me 0’s on my assignment. Guess what happened? 0’s. And you know what else? Another ignore. 

I got so beyond fed up, that I went over today to file a complaint with the dean of that area, and his assistant and I scheduled a meeting and everything was set for tomorrow. The assistant calls me, and says she’s going to call my teacher and have her call me to see if she can get a hold of things. I said that’s quite alright. So, I receive a call five minutes after, stating that my professor has messaged me back. So I told her I’ll call her back, to read her message.

The kicker? The message was sent AFTER the phone call. (You see the time and date when a message was sent. It was literally sent five minutes after the phone call that she allegedly ”replied to me before that.”) So if I hadn’t said anything, I would have failed. Minus-ing that fact, we negotiated. She originally wanted me to receive a 0 on my paper, and that she’ll grade everything else accordingly. My response? At least give me half credit, and your explanation for my plagiarism is so terrible I wanted to punch my screen. She agreed, and that was our deal.

However, i’m here waiting to see how she’ll grade my assignments. She said that I could possibly see them by Sunday, but seeing how I basically tattled on her, and you could tell by her messages her fake she was. I know if I didn’t go complain, she would of failed me one two three without second thought. She’s upset. Pissed. And more than likely she will take it out on me. I know I will get a B in this class if everything was graded correctly. But. I fear that her vengefulness will indeed cause harsh grading and for me to lose more points than I should on my assignments.

So if I see a C, or if she’s even ballsy enough to give me a D, i’m filing for a grade grievance with the dean. It’s bad enough you did this to me, but I swear if you screw me one more time I will go to the depths of hell to get what I deserve.

I’m a very laid back person, and i’ve never done something like this before, but I deserve the grade I deserve. And i’m not taking this lying down. Nope.

So if you want to try me Professor, go ahead. Be my guest. But know I will get what I deserve, and you won’t stop that.
